About Us

A supportive place to learn, belong and grow

Every child arrives at Maple School with their own strengths, experiences and individual needs. Our role is to understand the whole child and create an education package that gives them the best possible opportunity to succeed.

We support pupils with a range of needs, including social, emotional and mental health needs, autism, cognition and learning needs, and communication difficulties. Through carefully adapted teaching, clear routines and strong relationships, we help pupils overcome barriers that may previously have made education difficult.

Our approach is personal rather than “one size fits all”. Learning is shaped around each pupil’s abilities, interests and areas for development, helping them make meaningful progress academically, socially and emotionally.

Maple School is part of Branches Education Group and works in partnership with Prosperity Children’s Services to provide therapeutic wrap-around support. This strengthens our trauma-informed and trauma-responsive approach, helping children feel safe, understood and ready to engage with learning.

Developing the whole child

Education at Maple School extends beyond academic learning. We want pupils to leave us with greater confidence in themselves, stronger relationships with others and the personal qualities they need to participate positively in their communities.
